SolarinBlue, a French deeptech company specializing in offshore photovoltaic solar power, announced that its MégaSète project has secured €6 million in funding from the French government under the France 2030 plan. This project aims to establish a 1 MWp offshore solar farm near the port of Sète-Frontignan, utilizing advanced technology to withstand harsh maritime conditions. The consortium for this project includes Technip Energies, the University of Montpellier, and Sorbonne Université, among others. The farm is expected to be operational by the end of 2025, contributing significantly to renewable energy production in the region.
