Canada-based renewable energy company SolarBank Corporation is nearing completion on the 1.4 MW rooftop solar project for Fiera Real Estate Investments. The project, located in Calgary, Alberta, is set to become operational by November 2024. This project is part of Fiera’s strategy to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2040 and marks the first collaboration between the two companies. SolarBank is delivering comprehensive development, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, supported by Zathura Investments. Once completed, the facility will serve as a small-scale generator in Alberta’s electricity network. The pilot project will provide clean energy and reduce Fiera’s carbon footprint, contributing to the broader goal of sustainable energy adoption. Despite potential risks like policy changes, this project is expected to open the door for future partnerships between SolarBank and Fiera Real Estate as they work to expand their renewable energy portfolios.
