Täby Park housing integrates solar energy and EV charging

Sweden-based Skanska is investing approximately SEK 530 million (~$48.4 million) in Mandelblomman, a residential project in Täby Park near Stockholm. The four- to seven-story building features a rooftop terrace and includes 156 apartments, ranging from one to five rooms with kitchens, and 75 garage parking spaces. According to Skanska, solar panels will cover 55% of the roof, alongside 15 EV charging spaces, a car and bicycle pool, and battery storage supporting Svenska kraftnät. Built with climate-improved concrete, the building will use 15% less energy than Boverket’s regulations and earn Nordic Ecolabel certification. Construction begins December 2024, with phased occupancy from mid-2026 to April 2027.
