Silfab to showcase utility-grade solar panels at RE+ expo

Silfab Solar, a leading North American PV module manufacturer based in Canada, is set to unveil its new utility-grade solar panels at the RE+ expo in Anaheim, California. According to Silfab, the new Silfab Utility NTC 620-640 XL bifacial modules boast nearly 23% efficiency, excellent shade tolerance, and enhanced low-light performance. The panels come with custom cables and high hail ratings for durability. At the expo, Silfab will also present its Prime N-type and Elite residential series, featuring next-generation n-type solar cells that exceed 20% efficiency. Additionally, Silfab will debut a prototype with an integrated back-contact cell and foil interconnect design. The company’s South Carolina facility, once fully online, is expected to boost Silfab’s production capacity, with 1 GW in cell production and 1.3 GW in module capacity.
