Canada-based Silfab Solar Inc., solar technology manufacturer, has signed a 350 MW PV module supply agreement with U.S.-based renewable energy provider Pivot Energy. The partnership supports Silfab’s new South Carolina facility, which will produce 1 GW of solar cells and 1.3 GW of modules annually. Over two years, starting in Q2, Silfab will supply 350 MW of high domestic content PV modules, including its advanced 580 XM+ model, for Pivot’s U.S. community solar projects. To meet growing demand, Silfab secured $100 million in financing to scale operations at the South Carolina plant. This expansion complements Silfab’s 1.1 GW manufacturing facility in Washington, strengthening its footprint in the U.S. renewable energy sector.
