10 MW floating solar project tender announced by SECI

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a tender for a 10 MW floating PV plant at the Singareni Thermal Power Plant in Telangana. The project involves design, construction, and 10 years of maintenance under a Single Stage Two Envelope Bidding process with an e-Reverse Auction. Domestically manufactured SPV cells and modules are required under the Domestic Content Requirement. Eligible bidders must have completed 10 MW of grid-connected solar projects, including one of at least 5 MW, and demonstrate a net worth of INR 5 crore (~$5,83,160.50). Submissions are due by January 23, 2025, with technical bids opening the same day. An Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 1.02 crore (~$1,18,962) and a processing fee of INR 25,000 (~$291.58) are mandatory.
