India’s Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) plans to bid for state renewable energy projects to reach its target of 10 GW renewable capacity by 2030. SECI anticipates securing $7.7 billion in investments for projects involving solar, wind, and battery storage. With India targeting 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030 to support its 2070 net-zero goal, the country currently has 154 GW installed. Additionally, SECI also plans international expansion, starting as a project management consultant and later transitioning to development roles. Currently managing 300 MW, SECI is building 1,200 MW of projects set for completion by June 2026. The company is also considering a public offering within one to two years.
