Egypt-based SCZONE and MDC signed the first phase of the Pyramids ALU project contract to begin aluminum frame and solar mounting system production within Egypt’s Sokhna Industrial Zone. The $1.8 million investment covers a 5,000-square-meter facility, expected to open within two months and create 42 direct jobs. The “PYRAMIDS ALU” factory was a partnership between Egypt’s ALU AFRIC and China’s ALU PRO. It aimed to reach a monthly production capacity of 1,750 tons with two automated fabrication lines and one manual line. The project relied entirely on local raw materials from ALU AFRIC. It was part of SCZONE’s expansion initiative to support export-capable industries, coordinated with Egypt’s Administrative Control Authority (ACA).
