Scatec’s Release, in collaboration with Izuba Energy and Sphinx Energy, has secured two new lease agreements with ENEO, Cameroon’s national electricity company. These agreements will expand the solar and battery storage capacity in Cameroon to 64.4 MW of solar and 38.2 MWh of batteries. The Release solution involves movable panels and batteries under flexible leasing contracts. With the completion of solar plants in Maroua and Guider in September 2023, an additional 28.6 MW of solar and 19.2 MWh of battery storage will be added, benefiting approximately 200,000 households and generating 141.5 GWh of electricity annually.
