Savion has completed the sale of its 150 MW Cass County Solar Project to Ameren Missouri. This project, situated near Beardstown, Illinois, spans 1,700 acres and will include 330,000 solar modules. Approved in 2020, the construction started in mid-2023 and aims to finish by late 2024. Once operational, the solar farm will supply enough energy for 27,500 homes annually. The Missouri Public Service Commission approved the sale in June 2024. This initiative marks Savion’s first utility-scale solar venture in Illinois, generating 250 local jobs during construction.
