RMC Switchgears awarded 41 MW solar power project in India

India-based RMC Switchgears Limited has secured a contract from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for a 41 MW (AC) PV project under the RESCO model. The project is part of the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 within the PM-KUSUM Scheme, aimed at providing solar power to agricultural feeders in Maharashtra. According to RMC Switchgears, the contract, awarded through competitive bidding and an e-reverse auction, enhances its renewable energy portfolio. The power will be sold to MSEDCL at a fixed tariff, approved by MERC, for 25 years. The project will be executed across designated locations in Maharashtra. RMC Switchgears is also targeting tenders exceeding 500 MW to reach its 1 GW goal.
