Renewable America (RNA), a key player in California’s distributed energy resources, has initiated two solar projects for underserved communities. They are West Tambo Clean Power II (WEST-II), a 2.93 MWdc project in Livingston, CA, and the Dos Palos Clean Power (DOSP), a 4.29 MWdc development in Dos Palos, CA. WEST-II is set to commence operations in August 2024, generating clean energy for 800 homes annually and avoiding 48,000 tons of CO2 emissions. DOSP will power 1,200 homes and save 74,000 tons of CO2 emissions. San Jose Clean Energy and Peninsula Clean Energy will purchase power from these sites. Both projects received a 20% Investment Tax Credit through the US Department of Energy’s Low-Income Communities Bonus Credit Program. RNA oversees all project phases, with RNA Services, LLC, handling construction and operations.
