Renalfa IPP, a Vienna-based renewable energy company, has acquired a 258 MW AC solar PV project in Teleorman, Romania. Scheduled for commercial operation in 2027, the project will integrate a 1,000 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) to improve grid stability and manage renewable energy use. The acquisition adds to Romania’s renewable energy capacity and aligns with the country’s energy transition plans.
