Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc., has secured financing for its Carwarp Energy Park in North West Victoria, Australia. The financing is provided by Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited, Westpac, and Société Générale’s Sydney branch. The park will include a 171 MW solar farm and a 120 MW Stage 2 hybrid BESS system. The project will connect to the National Electricity Market through the 220 kV Victorian network. The project is set to begin operations in 2026. Recurrent Energy plans to deploy 243,000 high-efficiency Canadian Solar modules. Once operational, the farm will generate 405 GWh annually and is anticipated to power about 88,000 homes. A long-term PPA with a multinational corporate offtaker supports the project.
