Qcells completed the Ocotillo Wells Solar project in Borrego Springs, California. The project consists of a 50 MW solar PV system combined with a 200 MWh energy storage system. Over 113,000 solar panels were installed in this project. The utility scale project has created over 250 jobs during the construction of the project. The clean energy produced by the project will be supplied to a major company Meta. Since 2020, Meta has powered its global operations entirely with renewable sources and achieved net zero emissions for those operations.
