PS MB.MEE, a joint venture managed by SIA MerkoBūve and AS MerkoEhitusEesti, subsidiaries of AS MerkoEhitus group, has secured a contract to construct a solar panel power plant in Vārme parish, Kuldīga district, Latvia. The project, funded by UAB Ignitis Renewables through SIA SP Venta, involves installing solar panels with a total capacity of 93.5 MW DC, along with 18 medium-voltage power stations and 232 combiner boxes. Additional tasks include setting up irradiance sensors, weather stations, access roads, and drainage systems, as well as constructing and connecting medium-voltage cables. The contract, valued at approximately €20 million excluding VAT, is slated for completion by August 2025.
