Enphase Energy, a US-based provider of solar microinverters and energy solutions, has opened US pre-orders for its IQ9N-3P commercial microinverter. The product was the first from Enphase Energy to adopt gallium nitride technology and was designed specifically for 480Y/277 V three-phase systems. According to Enphase Energy, the device achieved 97.5% peak efficiency, eliminated external transformers, and supported 16 A continuous DC current with 427 VA peak output power. The IQ9N-3P was compliant with UL 1741-SB and IEEE 1547-2018 standards and included rapid shutdown, ride-through functionality, and loss-of-phase detection. Enphase Energy stated the product enabled panel-level conversion with all-AC rooftop layouts, scaled from 100 kW to multi-hundred-kW systems, and qualified under Buy America requirements. Shipments were confirmed to begin in December 2025, while the microinverter was publicly showcased during RE+ 2025 in Las Vegas earlier this month. Recently, Enphase launched its IQ Balcony Solar System in Belgium.
