As per a report from Bernreuter Research, polysilicon prices stabilized around USD 8.49/kg amidst supplier-customer negotiations, resulting in a stalemate with low new orders. Wafer prices fell by 4-9%, pressuring manufacturers to cut production costs. Suppliers resisted reducing polysilicon prices, but dwindling orders signaled an imminent price drop. The PVinsights index fell by RMB 2.10/kg, foreshadowing the cut. EnergyTrend’s indices for n-type and p-type polysilicon in China remained at RMB 68/kg and RMB 56/kg respectively, while InfoLink’s index for polysilicon outside China held at USD 21.50/kg.
