The Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has recently issued an upgraded memorandum under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) Order 2019. The ALMM was previously amended a month earlier, and the latest update has added and modified 14 solar manufacturers, including Surana Solar, Bluebird Solar, Rayzon Solar, Goldi Sun, Emmvee Energy, and Gautam Solar, as per MNRE. Newly added entrants such as Solitech Green Energy, Insolation Green Energy, and Suryanand Solar Cluster Association have expanded regional participation. MNRE has confirmed that Gautam Solar’s “G2X Bifacial 7XX-HAD” models were reclassified as “17XX-HAD” to align with Bureau of Indian Standards records. All approved modules are rated between 350 W and 640 W with efficiencies from 19.1% to 23.7%. MNRE has stated that this upgrade strengthens India’s shift toward high-efficiency n-type TOPCon technology and raises total ALMM-listed capacity beyond 15 GW annually.
MNRE revises ALMM list, includes new BIS-compliant TOPCon modules
The MNRE expanded its ALMM list with 14 solar manufacturers, aligning BIS-approved modules featuring n-type TOPCon technology and 19.1–23.7 % efficiency.
