LONGi, a Xi’an-based solar technology manufacturer, has participated in senior-level dialogues at the United Nations’ Palace of Nations in Geneva, recently. The events were organized by UNCTAD, UNFSS, and CAS-SBBC, and were attended by governments, enterprises, and international organizations to discuss sustainable business and brand standards. LONGi was the sole corporate representative from China’s new energy sector and has emphasized the role of solar energy in improving electricity access. Jia Chao, President of LONGi’s Europe Business Center, has said that solar deployment is essential for providing equitable and reliable energy in underdeveloped regions. Floria Wang, Head of Global Branding at LONGi, has presented projects including China’s desert “Photovoltaic+” program, Brazil’s Kayapó rainforest initiative, and a UNHCR solar installation in Uzbekistan. LONGi has also signed the “Commitment to Build Sustainable Brands” alongside over 20 Chinese companies including CATL and Anta Sports. Most Recently, LONGi has partnered with Nofar to develop the 282 MW Corbii Mari solar plant in Romania.
