Plenitude, controlled by Eni, has inaugurated the Villanueva II solar plant in Torrejoncillo del Rey, Cuenca, Spain. The plant, with an installed capacity of 50 MW, spans nearly 100 hectares and connects to the national grid via the Torrejoncillo del Rey substation and a 28 km high-voltage line. It features over 76,000 photovoltaic modules, producing 100 GWh annually, enough to power over 30,000 households. According to the company, this project, developed with Zaragoza Group and Solida Renewables, enhances Plenitude’s Spanish operations, which now total around 430 MW across regions like Galicia, La Rioja, Catalonia, Castilla-La Mancha, and Murcia. Additionally, there are ongoing projects exceeding 1000 MW in Andalusia, Castilla y León, and Extremadura.
