PCL Solar has been issued a Notice to Proceed for the Gunsynd Solar project, a 111 MW solar facility in Goondiwindi, Queensland, as part of Metis Energy’s Australian portfolio. Once operational, the project is expected to generate over 250 GWh of energy annually, enough to power around 32,000 houses and reduce 150,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year. This marks PCL’s fifth solar project in Australia. Upon completion, PCL will have led the EPC works for a total of 870 MW of solar power in Australia.
