Oriental Weavers partners with IRSC for clean energy transition

Innovative Renewable Solutions Company (IRSC) has entered a strategic partnership with Oriental Weavers, the world’s top woven carpet manufacturer, to design and install a 2.5 MW solar power plant at its factories in 10th of Ramadan City, Egypt. As per IRSC, the project involves the installation of 4,288 PV modules across 29,000 square meters of rooftop space. Over its operational life, this PV power plant is expected to generate 120 GWH of clean, renewable energy. The company claims that the project will significantly reduce Oriental Weavers’ carbon footprint, with a projected cut of approximately 54.5 million grams of CO2 emissions, over its lifetime.
