NorSun, a leading Norwegian PV wafer producer, has entered into a multi-year contract with North American solar module manufacturer Heliene to supply U.S.-made silicon wafers starting in 2026. This partnership aims to strengthen the domestic solar supply chain, which is crucial for achieving energy independence and sustainability in the U.S. NorSun will supply these wafers from its planned 5 GW factory in Tulsa, Oklahoma, creating 320 jobs. Heliene will incorporate the wafers into solar modules at its new facility in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area, generating over 200 jobs.
