NorSun has announced a $620 million investment to establish a silicon ingot and solar wafer manufacturing facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This marks NorSun’s first U.S.-based factory, expected to create 320 new jobs and support the growing demand for domestically produced solar components. The project, facilitated by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust, will begin construction in late 2024 with production starting in 2026. This initiative aligns with the U.S. strategy to enhance domestic solar manufacturing capacity and reduce supply chain bottlenecks.
