PV wafer manufacturing company NexWafe GmbH has expanded into the US by establishing a subsidiary in the country. With plans for multi-gigawatt-scale solar wafer production in the US and leveraging its EpiNex technology, the company aims to achieve 6 GW of production capacity initially. It has also appointed Jonathan Pickering as the Vice President of Business Development to spearhead its North American business development efforts. This strategic move aligns with the objectives of the Inflation Reduction Act, aiming to address vulnerabilities in the solar-wafer supply chain and support the ongoing energy transition.
