UK-based NextPower UK ESG (NPUK ESG) has signed a 20-year sleeved Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the Llanwern Solar Farm, located in Newport, Wales, with an installed capacity of 75MW. The agreement, which covers 90% of the solar farm’s electricity output and associated Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs), involves selling power to Anglian Water Services (AWS) with the assistance of EDF and SSE. This four-way contract allows the intermittent solar energy to be transformed into baseload power for AWS, aligning with their decarbonization goals. The PPA in renewable energy, providing long-term, inflation-linked revenue for the PV farm while supporting AWS in its sustainability efforts. The 260-acreLlanwern Solar Farm will power approximately 20,606 homes per year.
