USbased Nexamp and TurningPoint Energy (TPE) have completed a 9.4 MW solar farm in Warren, Rhode Island, converting a former golf course into a renewable energy site. The project, developed by TPE and built, owned and operated by Nexamp, features two co-located solar arrays with over 17,000 solar modules. Construction began in late 2022, with the first power delivered to the grid in July 2024. Expected to generate 11.5 million kWh of energy annually, this solar project provides energy savings to 15 local non-profit organizations, schools, cities, and towns that have signed an energy sales agreement with Nexamp and receive their power from Rhode Island Energy.
