The New South Wales(NSW) Government has approved the AUD 880 million Goulburn River Solar Farm, a 450 MW project located in the Upper Hunter Region, Australia. This large-scale solar farm will power approximately 191,000 homes annually and include a battery energy storage system (BESS) to enhance grid stability and energy security. The project will reduce CO2 emissions by 733,000 tonnes per year, supporting NSW’s netzero emission targets. Additionally, the solar farm will generate 350 construction jobs, benefiting the local economy by prioritizing local workers and businesses.
