US-based Navisun has partnered with Queen City Solar to deliver 30 MW of community solar power across Maryland. The project is set to benefit approximately 3,000 customers, with a focus on low- to middle-income households. Queen City Solar managed site acquisition, development, and permitting, while Navisun funded the projects and will take ownership. The solar installations will utilize underutilized land such as former mining sites and agricultural plots in Western, Central, and Eastern Maryland, providing landowners with annual lease payments for hosting the arrays. This partnership aligns with Maryland's renewable energy goals, with the first phase of installations expected to be operational by early 2025.
