Naturgy’s GPG signs AUD 2.3B financing for Australian wind,PV projects

Naturgy’s Global Power Generation (GPG) secured an AUD 2.3 billion (~$1.49 billion) financing facility with 11 international banks to support its renewable energy portfolio in Australia. By the end of 2024, GPG had 1 GW in operation, 360 MW under construction, and 510 MW ready for construction, including wind farms, solar plants, and hybrid battery projects. The funds were allocated to projects such as Hawkesdale, Ryan Corner, and Cunderdin Solar Hybrid, contributing to Australia’s energy transition. Additionally, Naturgy obtained a €1 billion (~$1.05 billion) loan from the EIB to finance renewable investments in Spain.
