National Grid Renewables has launched the Copperhead Solar and Storage Project in Falls County, Texas. This 150 MW solar and 100 MWh storage project, located in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) market, is expected to generate $25 million in economic benefits over 25 years, including $12 million in tax revenue. Additionally, $600,000 will be donated to local fire departments and a youth athletic organization through the Copperhead Community Fund. The project is also estimated to offset 250,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually, equivalent to removing 55,000 cars from the road.
