Moldova has issued its first tender for large-scale renewable energy projects, inviting investors to develop onshore wind power plants with a capacity of up to 105 MW and photovoltaic power plants with a capacity of up to 60 MW. This tender is part of Moldova’s strategy to increase its renewable energy capacity and reduce energy dependence. Investors selected through the tender will receive a 15-year fixed price for the electricity produced, with the lowest bid prices winning contracts. The ceiling prices are set at 1.5 lei/kWh for wind and 1.67 lei/kWh for solar. The tender aims to attract both local and international companies, with the deadline for bids set for March 31, 2025.
