Swedish solar panel manufacturer Midsummer and  Soprasolar, a subsidiary of French roofing giant Soprema, have collaborated to integrate Midsummer's lightweight thin film solar panels into Soprasolar's roof membranes, enabling the company to offer solar solutions to customers with low load-bearing roofs, a previously untapped market. This collaboration, certified by CSTB, could potentially increase the share of solar energy in the European electricity mix and will be marketed not only in France but also in other countries where Soprema's roofs are offered.
