Switzerland-based energy company MET Group has inaugurated the Kaba II Solar Park in Eastern Hungary. This is the company’s second solar power plant in the region, following the commissioning of the MET Kaba Solar Park in 2021. The 31-hectare site houses over 33,000 solar panels, producing 23.4 MW (DC), enough to power 13,000 local households. The project, located next to the first Kaba Solar Park, leverages existing grid connections infrastructures. The plant has an expected lifespan of over 30 years.
