Zelestra, a Spain-based clean energy company, has completed the 300 MW DC San Martín solar project in La Joya district, Peru. Developed and built by its internal EPC division, the project was delivered in under 18 months using 450,000 solar modules. It is expected to generate 830 GWh of electricity annually, enough to supply over 440,000 households in Peru. The energy produced is delivered to Kallpa Generación under a long-term PPA, supporting energy diversification in the country. The plant is projected to prevent more than 166,549 tons of CO₂ emissions per year. During peak construction, the project provided employment to 900 workers. Zelestra manages a 29 GW global clean energy portfolio across 13 countries, with more than 7 GW in solar and battery storage projects across Latin America. Prior to this, Zelestra secured funding for a 237MW solar portfolio in Spain.
