Zelestra secures funding for 237 MW solar portfolio in Spain

BNP Paribas and Rabobank has provided €146.6 million in green financing for six Zelestra solar PV projects totalling 237 MW in Castilla–La Mancha, Spain.

UK-headquartered Zelestra has secured a €146.6 million (~ $163 million) green loan from BNP Paribas and Rabobank. The financing will support the construction of six solar PV projects in Castilla–La Mancha, Spain, with a combined capacity of 237MW DC. The portfolio, which includes the Belinchón and Brazatortas clusters, is backed by 21 power purchase agreements and is expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2026. Located in Cuenca and Ciudad Real, the projects are projected to generate 467 GWh annually, power 150,000 homes, support over 800 construction jobs, and avoid 84,596 tons of CO₂ emissions per year.
