X-ELIO, a Spain-based developer of renewable energy projects, has commissioned its 14 MW Funaki PV plant in Ube, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. The power plant is constructed on a former golf course and is to generate around 17,245.72 MWh of electricity in a year. All the generated power is to be taken by Amazon under a 20-year PPA, as per X-ELIO. With the Funaki plant now online, X-ELIO's installed solar capacity in Japan is now 393 MW. X-ELIO also has a development pipeline of 396 MW comprised of solar and BESS. For its community engagement in Ube, X-ELIO has donated a generator and emergency shelter items. X-ELIO has also recently completed a 35 MW solar installation with the University of Granada.
