Trinasolar, a Chinese solar technology company, has achieved two certified records in tandem PV innovation. A self-developed large-area perovskite/silicon tandem module reached 30.6% efficiency on a 1185cm² area, as certified by Fraunhofer ISE and listed in Solar Cell Efficiency Tables (Version 66) edited by Prof. Martin Green. This marked the first time a PV company surpassed 30% efficiency for tandem modules. Additionally, a 3.1m² perovskite/silicon tandem module achieved 829W output, certified by TÜV SÜD. Both milestones represented advances in transitioning tandem technology from lab-scale to real-world applications.Trinasolar’s Vertex modules also ranked as top performers in Kiwa PVEL’s 2025 scorecard for durability, efficiency, and long-term performance.
