China-based Sungrow, a global PV inverter and energy storage system provider, announced that it has received the 2025 iF Design Award for its 1+X 2.0 Modular Inverter. As per Sungrow, The jury evaluated entries based on form, function, innovation, sustainability and differentiation. The inverter stood out with its modular architecture, smart features and sustainable design. Each 800 kW unit allowed flexible scaling up to 9.6 MW. A split design enabled quick field replacements within one hour. AI-driven diagnostics supported real-time fault detection and reduced repair times. The system included automated air duct cleaning and smart IV curve analysis. It detected over 20 fault types without manual checks. The inverter reduced material use by 15% and supported easy maintenance and reuse. Sungrow will exhibited the product at Intersolar Europe 2025 held from May 7 to 9 2025.
