Houston, US-headquartered SEG Solar, a solar module manufacturer, has completed its first sale of Section 45X Advanced Manufacturing Production Tax Credits, valued at $50 million. The credits were based on 2025 module output from its Houston, Texas factory. The transaction closed on June 6, 2025, with payments set at $0.94 per $1.00 of credit, distributed in four installments tied to actual production and sales. The credits reflected solar modules manufactured domestically. The transaction was facilitated by Moss Adams LLP, now Baker Tilly Advisory Group. SEG’s Houston facility, with over $60 million invested, reached 2 GW annual capacity through two automated lines.This tax credit transaction follows SEG Solar’s recent partnership with Talon PV to produce US-made N-Type solar cells.
