Houston-headquartered solar module manufacturer SEG Solar and solar cell producer Talon PV have announced a partnership to expand U.S. solar manufacturing. Talon PV’s N-type solar cells will be integrated into SEG’s photovoltaic modules starting in 2026. SEG's Houston factory, which began production in 2024, will have its second production line fully operational by February 2025, increasing capacity to 2 GW annually. By the end of 2024, SEG's cumulative global shipments surpassed 6 GW, with an annual module production capacity exceeding 6 GW. Talon’s U.S.-based N-type cell manufacturing facility is scheduled to begin operations in early 2026, with an initial annual production capacity of 4 GW.
