SEG Solar Inc., a US-headquartered Tier 1 solar module manufacturer, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Indonesia-based PT ATW Modul Manufaktur. The partnership covers the marketing and sales of SEG-branded solar modules and cells across Indonesia. According to SEG Solar, the agreement is aimed at serving utility-scale and cross-border renewable energy projects that require TKDN-certified products. SEG Solar has completed Phase 1 of its 2 GW Batang manufacturing facility in Central Java and has initiated Phase 2 under its investment and localization strategy. The signing ceremony at the Batang facility also marked SEG Solar’s formal commercial launch in Indonesia. Founded in 2016 and based in Houston, Texas, SEG Solar designs and produces photovoltaic modules for global markets and had shipped over 6 GW worldwide by the end of 2024, with an annual production capacity of 6 GW. Earlier this year, SEG Solar modules were deployed by Avangrid for the 166 MW Tower Solar project in Oregon.
