Avaada Group, a Mumbai-headquartered renewable energy developer, has announced a INR 9,200 crore (~ $1.01 billion) investment in Rajasthan for two large-scale solar projects. The initiative features a 1,560 MW solar facility with an integrated 2,500 MWh BESS at Pugal and a 200 MW (282 MW) solar project at Shri Dungargarh. According to Avaada, the Dungargarh site spans 777 acres, supplies electricity to state distribution companies, and uses ALMM-certified n-type TOPCon bifacial modules manufactured by Avaada Electro. The Pugal facility is designed to enhance grid stability and provide round-the-clock renewable power once it is up and running. Cumulatively, the portfolio will create more than 1,600 employment opportunities, cut over 20 lakh tons of CO₂ emissions every year, and save almost 600 lakh litres of water through robotic maintenance. Earlier this year, Avaada had commissioned a 280 MW solar project in Gujarat, reaffirming its pan-India expansion, and now runs a renewable portfolio of almost 5.7 GW.
