PowerBank, a New York-based community solar developer, has advanced construction of its 6.9 MW community solar project in New York to expand renewable electricity access for households and small businesses under the state’s distributed energy framework. The project will deliver power through subscriber-based bill credit allocations and is expected to connect to the regional distribution grid once completed. The development will create local employment opportunities during the construction and operational phases. PowerBank’s experience, including more than 100 MW of completed projects and a development pipeline exceeding 1 GW, is expected to support timely and efficient project delivery. Earlier this year, PowerBank reported progress on three community solar portfolio in Nova Scotia, demonstrating its continued regional development in distributed generation.
