Australian power generation company Pacific Energy has inked a 20-year PPA with Horizon Power to develop a PV hybrid power facility in Australia. The portfolio incorporates 2.4 MW of PV capacity, 2.7 MW of diesel generation, and a 9.9 MWh BESS. The Leonora-based facility, claimed Pacific Energy, will cater to around 60% of regional power demand from renewable sources. Construction of the project is slated for April 2026 and is expected to go live early in 2027 under Horizon Power's regional energy framework. Early this year, Pacific Energy finished building a 115 MW hybrid system at the Tropicana gold mine.
