Nexwell expands in Spain with 248 MW solar acquisition from Q ENERGY

Q ENERGY has sold 248 MW solar assets in Spain to Nexwell Power, which will power 142,500 homes and cut 2 lac tons of CO2 emissions annually.

UK-based Nexwell Power, an investment platform under the Nexwell Group, has acquired a 248 MW solar portfolio from Q ENERGY in Spain. The deal included seven solar plants located in Andalusia and Aragon. Four plants are under construction and expected to be operational by early 2026. These are the 72 MW Andújar projects in Jaén, 26 MW Silverio in Córdoba and 45 MW Mudéjar in Teruel. The remaining three Peñaflor projects in Zaragoza, with a total capacity of 105 MW, are in advanced development. Once operational, the portfolio is expected to generate 500 GWh of electricity annually. It will supply power to 142,500 households and avoid 2 lac tons of CO2 emissions per year. The acquisition expanded Nexwell Power’s footprint in Spain’s renewable energy market.The Guarromán solar plant, energized as Nexwell Power’s final project in March, followed its 248 MW solar portfolio acquisition from Q ENERGY in Spain.
