LONGi, a China-based PV module manufacturer, has entered into a deal with POWERCHINA to provide high-efficiency modules for the 100MW North Oman Solar Project. Built by OQ Alternative Energy, a subsidiary of Oman state energy group OQ, in cooperation with TotalEnergies, the plant will provide power to Petroleum Development Oman. LONGi modules, designed with high-temperature and dust-environment capability, will be accompanied by its own O&M services post-deployment. The project, located in northern Oman, will reduce over 150,000 tons of annual carbon emissions. The Omani government indicates that the transition is being driven by tax relief, infrastructure investments, green investment plans, and land-use restructuring. During the earlier half of the year, LONGi signed a 102MW Hi-MO X10 module supply agreement with a Finnish company, further expanding its global deployment.
