LONGi, a China-based manufacturer of PV products, has signed an agreement to supply Hi-MO 7 modules to Özgün İnşaat, a Turkey-based construction and energy company with over two decades of experience in Algeria. The 362MW DC Hassi DelaaLaghouat solar project, awarded under Algeria’s national 3GW solar tender led by Sonelgaz, will use these modules. According to LONGi, the LR8-66HGD Hi-MO 7 bifacial modules are rated at 625W with 23.1% efficiency and a temperature coefficient of -0.280%/°C. Özgün İnşaat has selected LONGi based on product reliability and suitability for high-temperature environments in Algeria. The project is expected to generate around 700GWh of electricity annually and reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 450,000 tons. Earlier this year, LONGi also secured a deal to supply 187MW of Hi-MO 9 modules for UK utility-scale projects with Grupotec.
