China-headquartered JA Solar will supply its DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules for a 440 MW solar project in Bayannur, Inner Mongolia, developed by China Huaneng. The project will use wind and solar power to generate electricity while helping to prevent desert expansion. A total of 485 MW of JA Solar’s modules will be installed, designed to withstand extreme heat and harsh desert conditions. These modules have been tested to meet IEC standards and perform well in high temperatures. DeepBlue 4.0 Pro has already been used in other desert regions, including the Sahara, Atacama, and parts of China. JA Solar follows a digitalized production process to ensure durability. The project will also include planting vegetation around the panels to help stabilize the sand and support local plant life. Recently, A 260 MW module distribution deal has been signed between JA Solar and Exel Solar.
